Once my life...now a part

Every night, before falling asleep, it has become a regular habit of mine to stare at a picture on the bulletin board. It is a picture of Gurleen, Aakriti, Aanchal and i.Sometimes a picture is more than just how the people look...its about the people in it and the bond that they have shared. For me this is one picture where i may look ridiculous but the beauty is in the relationship we share(d).

The story about the four of us is peculiar.Because we have practically grown up together and yet were just classmates or schoolmates till class eleventh. The first day of class eleventh CB is embedded in my memory. That south-facing classroom on the first floor(above the water cooler)...the faces of all really old-looking commerce teachers with stern faces telling us to 'grow up' and get to some 'serious studying' from now on. for the first few days,i had my old friends with me and i wished and hoped that they would just suddenly decide to stay in commerce itself and leave their lifelong resolution to study science...however all my prayers were in vain as within two weeks, they shifted off to the science section leaving me with a bunch of complete strangers.Little did know, that out of this bunch of strange faces, will emerge people who will become important part of my life for the next two years and more.

Aakriti was a person with whom i had never interacted at any level. Not even as a classmate. With Gurleen,a formal friendship had been there since the time i came to St.Thomas'.However,i never saw her as a friend..she was a mere aqcuintance till then. And Aanchal...well lets just say that if Aakriti and Gurleen wouldn't have been friends with her,i would have barely noticed that she was in my class. Despite everything we became good friends.Their were times when things went wrong and misunderstandings rose but all i can say is that the time with the three of them is unforgettable.I think and i hope,i remember all the moments spent with them forever. Now that time has changed and we have all taken different courses where we undergo different tasks, meet different people and rethink our priorities everyday,it is easy to leave it all behind and embrace the new reality. But i'm sure that just like me,they wouldn't ever let it go.No matter where we maybe, how much time we have and how many people we meet, the friendship we share is unshakable and the memories, evergreen.
Whenever i feel like i'm lost and there's nobody by my side,i remember Aakriti and her fervent reassurance because she is an ever-present unspoken comfort i have.whenever i feel like life's dull and boring or everybody else is outperforming me,i remember gurleen. She can make me smile without even being there and i know that we would always be on the same level (usually level one) when it comes to studying!! and forgetting aanchal is also a little difficult because every now and then, she floods our in-boxes with the lamest of forwards and bugs us at even two in the night!!
Yes they were once all i had and now there's more to me.But their place in my heart is permanent and this friendship can never be dissolved, nor dishonored nor depreciated !! :D
love you all!!!

Dude..emotions galore!
First thing first, I LOVE YOU! :D
And those years spent with you, gurleen and aanchal in 11th and 12th are so special to me that I can't really express in words. I do keep telling you from time to time so i'm assuming you know already. :P
But yes, that time, you guys, those classes, the fun we had between those classes and the talks we used to have on the window sill..all are permanently etched into my memory and can't be removed.
I love all of you! :D
